I AM 19 AND WANT TO MOVE TO HAWAII. IT ***** BEACUSE I HAVE BEEN OUT OF A JOB FOR 4 MONTHS. IN THE BANK I ONLY HAVE LIKE $180. EVEN IF I COULD AFFORD TO MOVE, WHERE WOULD I LIVE, WHAT WOULD I DO, WHERE WOULD I WORK? I WOULD LOVE TO LIVE IN THE WIKIKI AREA OR BY THE MOANA BEACH AREA. I WOULD LOVE TO LIVE RIGHT BY THE OCEAN. ANY IDEAS?

I’m sorry but honestly any place down in Waikiki is really expensive. I would suggest trying to look around for people who need roommates or something like that, if not you’re really going to have a hard time especially if you don’t have a job.

I am not trying to be mean but I am not even sure you could get to Hawaii with $180. What did you do before you lost your job? Good paying jobs are few and far between in Hawaii unless you have a degree or have worked in a high demand job. Living close to the beach is also out of the question, unless you have A LOT of money. Most locals live in the inner part of the island and drive a long way to work or catch the bus. If this is something that you really want to do I would try to go back to work and save for about a year or 2 then try sending in applications to different jobs that you are interested in. Most jobs in Hawaii are part of the union and can take a while to get in to. I hope that it all works out for you!
