15 year anniversary vacation in Hawaii ~ Any ideas?
Kristen asked:
My husband just told me that he is taking me to Hawaii for our 15th wedding anniversary. We have NEVER be on a vacation before so we need help planning. I would like to go to a beach area, nothing really expensive or fancy. We are simple people that just want to go relax and have the HONEYMOON WE NEVER HAD!!
I don’t want the cheapest area and hotel around, but something thing decent. Would it be cheaper to rent a condo/house type place or a hotel for a week? Any ideas on nice areas to visit, stay, etc would be GREATLY appreciated.
Are there any other travel sites, besides the obvious ones (Priceline, Travelocity, etc.) that are better at Hawaii vacation packages? (flight, car, hotel)
We would like to stay for a week sometime in the last week of August through the first week of September.

If you are only going to 1 island and you want the beach and awesome resort areas go to maui.
-haleakala volcano at sunrise is a must! amazing!
-my favorites are marriott, hyatt, sheraton
if you want to experience pearl harbor, polynesian cultural center and the beach, honolulu is the place..
-waikki beach or ko olina beach are great areas
if you want more info, i am a travel agent, hawaii traveler, and have family there who does the hotel pool landscapes..

I went to Hawaii once with my family a few years back. Honolulu was really touristy. It’s worth stopping by but don’t expect to much private time. But for your anniversary, find a resort in Maui. Maui was much less crowded. Many resorts have private beaches and you know what couples do on secluded beaches… wink wink.
Okay but seriously, I was in 6th grade when I went but I already was thinking that.
Well, I hope you found that a bit helpful. Anyway it turns out, enjoy your anniversary !
