Although I experienced the gas kind initially, I still prefer the wood-burning fireplace. There’s just something about going outside and chopping your own wood, then stacking it up for the long winter months. Furthermore, when you select a wood-burning fireplace, you get all the benefits of a real fire. This means you can toast marshmallows, and hotdogs. Maybe you’re in the mood for smores. Not to mention you get that recognizable sound of crackling wood and whipping flames.
